15 books finished in 2012: Tales of the Kingdom

Why are you reading this book?
I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with my schedule, and nothing calms me down as quickly as a children’s book at bedtime.

What is the first line?
Once upon a time, not long ago and not far away, there was a boy, no longer a child and not yet a man, who lived in the Enchanted City…

Describe the book in haiku form:
call: “How goes the world?”
response: “The world goes not well!
But the Kingdom comes!”

What will you do with it now?
keep for reference
keep and loan out to friends
x keep to read again & again & again x
post to paperbackswap.com
throw it away

Anything else you’d like to say?
I first encountered this series (more to come) in college, when the pastor of our church read one of the stories out loud to us as a sermon. It was one of many times we would see this grown man cry at the beauty of redemption. I always think of him when I read these.
